Red Nose Day

Charity

At Airkix we get hundreds of charity requests every year and it's just not possible to support them all. So, the Aircrew decided to adopt its own charity policy rather than operate a hit and miss scheme.

See at the bottom of the page how to contact us.

OUR CURRENT CHARITIES

Each year we select who to lend our greatest support to and then we assist with marketing, PR, product and other initiatives.

TWO FAT SUBMARINERS

Currently we have elected to support 'Two Fat Submariners', Barry Bishop and Steve Mills. These guys captured our imagination in what they wish to achieve and how they are going about it.

Most importantly they will be supporting three charities that all the Airkix staff also want to help; Help For Heroes, Make a Wish and NSPCC.

Their chosen method is to take on three grueling events starting with a Lands End to John O'Groats cycle ride (completed), a marathon (completed) and a leisurely swim over the channel in 2011 or 2012.

They have managed to find some great supporters and offer fabulous auction items and events for us all to get involved in as well as being fun to follow on their website. We wish them every success.

MOTIVATION

Motivation has been a favoured national charity for a while.

OUR ARMED FORCES

We also work directly with a number of military organisations, groups and charities and especially for our wounded servicemen and women who come and fly as part of their rehabilitation.

To our teams, this is some of the most fulfilling work they can do and it's a pleasure to help where we can.

APPLYING FOR CHARITY ASSISTANCE

Each year we review those charities that would like to work with Airkix and who extend beyond a single fundraising event.

Before you apply, please consider that we do get hundreds of requests and we believe every cause to be a great one, we just are not in a position to assist everyone's favoured cause. We will however offer a 20% discount to anyone with a registered charity who would like to use Airkix flights to aid their fundraising.

We also consider helping fundraising where it also helps to raise Airkix profile at prestigious events. When applying for flights, please be sure to let us know how you will promote Airkix too.

To apply for Airkix help, please email us with full details. Please do not send generic letters.
