The General Manager is responsible for the daily operations of a single vertical wind tunnel. The post may be available in the UK or abroad.

Duties

The General Manager is responsible for the business and all wind tunnel operations based at a single site and will be expected to operate the business to the budget as agreed each year. The GM will be responsible for all aspects of the safe operation of the wind tunnel including local relationships with the community and its officers.

Personality, Skills and Experience

The candidate will be of a hands-on nature, enthusiastic, capable and innovative. They will constantly strive to find new ways of providing a safe, fun and profitable experience for customers and work hard to help build a new sport.

They will have:

• Proven managerial experience, probably in the leisure or retail industry in a business employing at least 15 people and with a turnover of over £1m
• Totally customer focused
• HR management skills
• Able to build, motivate and manage a winning team
• A strong sales and marketing background
• A good understanding of accounts and finance
• A strong track record
• A 'can do' attitude

Airkix Chief Executive or Operations Manager

Start date

As and when new locations come on line.

Prospects

Airkix intends to operate multiple tunnels and this position offers exciting prospects to assist in the expansion process and head up a team of tunnel managers.
